The devil´s mirror.
The devil´s mirror.

The Grau Hill mansion will open its doors and immerse us in a world of nightmares where we can be trapped forever.

Lamentum is a pixel art survival-horror game set in New England in the mid-nineteenth century. To solve the dark secret that is hidden in the depths of the mansion of Grau Hill, you will have to immerse yourself in a nightmare world full of terrible creatures.

Choose well in whom to trust, every decision you make may alter the course of the story.

Will you survive?

The Unholy Preacher.
The Unholy Preacher.

Our references are videogames like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, but we are also inspired by the Cthulhu mythos adapting them to our own vision.

We want to make Lamentum a dark and adult-themed game, in which the player can enjoy a classic survival-horror game.

Main Features of the Game:

  • Detailed pixel art combined with actual light and shadow technology.
  • An adventure with different endings depending on the decisions we make.
  • Large number of characters with different motivations.
  • Multiple enemies and terrifying bosses.
  • Fight or hide. Choose the best way to survive.
  • A labyrinthine mansion to explore along with unique outdoor areas.
  • Large amount of weapons and objects.
  • A nightmare plot, dark and twisted, aimed at an adult audience.
  • Variable climatology

We have the collaboration of Black Light Sound, responsible for music and sound effects. Check out the Game Music on SoundCloud:-

Lamentum is scheduled to be released in Q1 2020 on PC and later on Nintendo Switch (Q2 2020), PS4 and XBOX One (Q4 2020).

IF YOU BACK THIS PROJECT…THEN YOU’RE BREATHTAKING!!

The most important parts of the development are almost finished. We are currently adding characters, enemies and implementing the main plot and its additional stories.

Our plan is to finalize the PC version and then develop the versions for the other platforms.

If we achieve the goal of “Nintendo Switch Fast-Track” we will have the necessary investment to accelerate the development and the port of Nintendo Switch and try to realize a simultaneous release PC-Nintendo Switch.

In Obscure Tales we are two people, Nico our programmer and Fran our pixel artist.
