According to various major game news sites, there has been a tweet on Jan 21st 2020 about 2 new Silent Hill games by a reputed person who leaked valuable game news in the past.
ComicBook Article says: “The report comes way of AestheticGamer, a reputable leaker who has reliably reported on scoops in the past.”
“In other news while I’m dropping this stuff, and I think I can talk about this, I’ll mention there is a couple new Silent Hill games in the works,” said AestheticGamer. “Konami about two years ago reached out to various developers to pitch ideas for two Silent Hill games, one a soft-reboot of the. franchise, the other an episodic TellTale/Until Dawn-style game to go alongside the reboot. I don’t know anything more than that though, but I sure do hope Konami’s given it the appropriate budget and found the right developer to make those games succeed.”
Game Revolution article says: According to the leak, The Silent Hill games have been in the works for roughly two years. One is set as a soft-reboot of the franchise, with the other being a narrative adventure companion game in the vein of Until Dawn/TellTale Games. Dusk Golem goes on to say that he believes there’s a high chance at least one of the games may be revealed this year.
Overall, what we think is:
It could be a sign of Konami’s change of heart after the success of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 Remake, and Kojima’s Death Stranding.
If the games were in developement for years, then definitely it could be an influence of Resident Evil 7, and perhaps due to the fan backlash.
But we should definitely take this with a grain of salt, as we may never know what Konami has in mind.
If it is true then that’s a good news for Silent Hill fans.

I really hope these are true. It’s been 10-11 years since the last one? And I’m not counting the PS Vita title.

Yes, any sane gaming company with a horror IP would not be sleeping when Capcom is doing so well with their Resident Evil games. I do hope that Konami does the right thing this time.
