Released on May 9th 1980, Friday the 13th (Original) became a well received film made with a budget of only $550,000 and earned a total of $39 million dollars which allowed the sequel to come out a year later. Directed by Sean Cunningham, and written by Victor Miller.

Synopsis: A group of camp counselors are stalked and murdered by an unknown assailant while trying to reopen a summer camp where, years before, it was the site of a child’s drowning and a grisly double murder.
