Jeanette Maus – Producer, Acting Coach/Teacher & Actress, who played an important role as one of the witches of Resident Evil Village game, is no more as confirmed on Jan 28th 2021 by Capcom, and her fiancé.
The news was confirmed on social media by her fiancé, Dusty Warren.
“It is with a shattered-yet grateful-heart that I inform you that Jeanette Maus passed away late last night due to complications of cancer,” Warren wrote on Facebook. “I’m really sad, but I’m super proud of her. She fought so hard, with tremendous grace and optimism, inspiring myself and I’m sure many of you.”
Here are the details of her work, her health and Go Fund Me campaign page link.
Before RE Village role, Jeanette Maus was popular through her film work, especially through “Frayed”(2009) Horror Film:-
She also had a diverse acting career as seen from her roles in “My Fiona”, “Your Sister’s Sister”, “The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle”, and “Charm City Kings”, etc. movies.
Upcoming Film, My Fiona, directed by Kelly Walker, which will begin its festival run this year. :-
Besides being an actress, she was also an acting teacher/coach.
She had producer credit for-
2018- Je Suis Ici (Short) (producer)
2018- Secret Island Adventure: Ripple one (Short) (producer)

Her Go Fund Me campaign which can be found here and as of today, is still accepting donations- https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-jeanette-kick-butt
Excerpt from her GoFundMe-
In late April – to add to the COVID fun – Jeanette was diagnosed with colon cancer. We are currently receiving treatment at City of Hope and have been making great progress in eliminating the tumors. In addition to her chemo treatments, we have been using a machine called the Molecular Enhancer……..
……… The Tesla Dial Coil essentially optimizes your cells to do their best, recognize the bad guys (cancer), and help eliminate them.
The TDC is pretty expensive (although, still less than a single chemo treatment!)
Any donations above the goal amount would go towards living expenses while Jeanette is currently unable to work.
Anyone that knows Jeanette is aware of how amazing she is. Her outlook during these past six months has blown me away. With her history of Crohn’s disease, she has already gone through so much, and our hope is that this machine can give her the long-term assistance she needs to resume making all of our days better and brighter. Thank you so much.
Fans realized that it was not a fake news when the Capcom Dev official account Tweeted this-
We here at Capcom R&D 1 are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring several different characters, including our witches to the world in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.
The fans are still donating to her Go Fund me. This has been covered by major media sites. The main reason is to honor her memory, and to help her dependents.
What’s sad is that she and her fiancé had wished Happy Holidays 2020 to the fans through the GoFundMe which shows that she was feeling better during the Holidays season. It is shocking, and unfortunate that her health became so worse that she left this world at a young age of 39.
The worst possible situation for any artist is to not be able to see their work released and applauded, and it’s unfortunate that Jeanette Maus couldn’t see RE Village being released, and become (hopefully) among the biggest releases of 2021 for any horror game. While we play and celebrate the success of RE Village in May 2021, we should always remember Jeanette Maus’ contribution & her fighting spirit.
Our thoughts are with her fiancé, family, and friends. She will never be forgotten by her fans, as seen by the support Go Fund Me is still getting. We condemn cancer and hope that one day, the world becomes cancer-free.
A memorial celebration will be held later in the year. Donations in Maus’ memory can be made to The Art of Elysium or the ASPCA. — Source- Deadline– https://deadline.com/2021/01/jeanette-maus-dies-actress-acting-teacher-coach-was-39-1234680304/
