Official Synopsis:-

In this spine-tingling tale of mystery and adventure, Hansel & Gretel must face off against the nefarious Hildaga Vontrix, a devious witch that commands a legion of ghouls, ghosts, and goblins. Hansel & Gretel’s tale begins when they return home to find their family’s home ransacked and their parents are missing. They soon find their way into a hidden liar under the family house where they discover their mother and father have been leading a secret double life, as suburban parents by day and heroic monster hunters by night; a family tradition dating back hundreds of years.

Hansel & Gretel must now pick up where their parents left off and rise to become the new protectors of Grimms Town. Armed with an awesome array of techno-magical weapons designed for paranormal butt-kicking kicking (technological devices fueled by magical energy), coupled the mysterious ability to control a mystical element called terramana, they will embark upon a heroic adventure to find their missing parents. Along the way they learn of a secret family curse that gives them the power to fight evil, but also puts them in danger of becoming evil themselves. With the help of their whimsically-weird Aunt Zoe and a goblin called Grubb that’s about as fierce as a puppy, they will fight to protect Grimms Town from the many creepy and dreadful things that go bump in the night.

The Grimms Town Terror Tales combines the suspenseful intrigue of Stranger Things with the zany ghoul-capturing antics of Ghostbusters. With a mix of humor and spine-tingling terror, these tales are sure to captivate readers both young and old alike.

It starts with Hansel and his sister Gretel returning home from a camp late night only to find their family home ransacked, and no sign of their parents. This is when they find a dwarf ogre like friend who then helps them to discover a secret lab which contains lots of scientific gadgets, cages, and books full of information about monsters. They also discover Grimm family history, secrets, and also of the town. With such a surprising discovery, they become determined to find their parents which leads them to many exciting, fun, and often dangerous situations. Not just about supernatural events, but some normal events like school, homework, breakfast, trick or treat, etc. have been made enjoyable through humor, and visuals.

The main story arc of finding the parents is never forgotten, and then the new story arc of Candy Creeper Monster also makes things exciting and scary as the monster is ever present during the Halloween period of time in which the majority of the events take place. We meet some interesting characters too, like Aunt Grimm, Handel’s classmate, Witch of the forest, Grimm Demon, and a bully from school. There’s great character development, and we see origin stories of many characters too, which makes the reader invested in the story, and characters. Visuals, coloring, and illustrations by Renae De Liz help to make characters lively. Editing by Sandy King Carpenter, with writing by Neo Edmund is flawless as the story keeps the excitement high from the start to the very end, and you look forward to the next part of The Grimm Town Terror Tales! Perfect, and well executed lettering by Janice Chiang give this comic a neat look.
