Spoiler-Free Review:
Is there any life out there besides on Earth? That’s the question we often wonder about. But the real question we should ask is, what if there is life in Space? This is the dangerous situation explored in this Sci-Fi Space horror comic by John Carpenter, Sandy King Carpenter and the Storm King Comics Team.
The comic starts with a deep space mission near the planet Jupiter and the astronaut contacting the control center when there is an abnormal activity which then cuts off the communications with the control center. In order to investigate, the control center decides to hire someone for this job and they find an unlikely candidate to be an astronaut…
Living a calm, curious, and happy life as a physicist and a researcher who’s married and has a daughter too, our protagonist David Peeler gets a visitor who has been a long time acquaintance. Our protagonist gets an offer to go to Space despite all of his work being theoretical in nature. The researcher and his family are surprised by this odd out of the blue offer which is a dangerous reconnaissance mission disguised as a field research opportunity. Believing in the research value this Space mission would have, our protagonist decides to be an astronaut but he doesn’t know what challenges lie ahead. The rest of the comic has some exciting space scenes and horror which would be loved by all horror and Space fans!
The quality of the horror comic is professional and perfect as expected from a Storm King production. Editing, lettering and story all work together to provide a cinematic experience while reading. Illustrations and cover art are artistic and add life to the characters and thrills to the situation. There are no suggestive themes, no strong language and only mild violence with horror. An appropriate comic for teens and above.
In conclusion, this comic by John Carpenter, Sandy King Carpenter and Storm King Comics Team is an excellent example of a well made Sci-Fi Space horror comic with an intriguing story, mesmerizing visuals and terrifying situations.
Highly recommended to buy and read for anyone who is a fan of Space, horror and Sci-Fi!
