Spoiler-Free Review:

Halloween and farm life from the perspective of animals! This exciting horror comic titled “The Yard Gang” from Storm Kids is also a tale of friendship and the magic of Halloween.

Do animals have feelings and what do they talk among themselves? These questions which always come in our minds are answered through the dialogues and situations. Additionally, we have the Halloween theme which makes this horror comic a unique thriller adventure for readers of all ages.

The story is about cats, dogs, a tortoise outside of the home where all animals live with humans. Each animal is having a unique personality and a story. The cats and dogs are living peacefully together and then there’s a paranormal element of a cat spirit that grants wishes. One of our protagonist cats makes a wish and it’s related to the emotion of loneliness and the past. Along with human-like emotions, we see the interactions between animals which show human-like elements among the behavior of the animals.

Besides the ghost/spirit, humor and other activities, there is the second half part in which Halloween is shown. During Halloween, we see the animals being dressed up and ready to trick or treat. The lion costume of the dog and witch hat cats are seen with a lot of fun Halloween dialogues and activities.

Will the wish come true for the cat? How will the Halloween go? What about the spirit? Is that spirit dangerous? All of these questions are answered and it all ends with a satisfying ending that will brighten anyone’s Halloween!

Just like previous Storm Kids and Storm King projects, this comic is well made. The dialogues, lettering and editing help to tell an exciting story with no wastage of space. The illustrations are beautiful and make the animals look as realistic as possible while still keeping them looking adorable and a bit cartoony. The story is unique and entertains well while also giving thrills to fans of all ages without adding any mature content.

Overall, The Yard Gang is an entertaining, thrilling and endearing Halloween themed comic by Storm Kids comics that will make your Halloween a lot better and sweeter!

Highly recommended!
